Privacy Policy

Coach Leon, a business registered as a sole proprietorship in British Columbia, Canada ("we," "us," or "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Coach Leon AI-powered coaching application (the "Service"). For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, Coach Leon is the data controller responsible for your personal information.

1. Eligibility

Coach Leon is intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact guillaume@forstmann.co and we will delete it.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account information

• Name;
• Email address;
• Location, age, or gender (if provided).

B. Training and performance data

• Workout data (heart rate, power, pace, distance, elevation, etc.);
• Training history, goals, and performance targets;
• Subjective feedback (fatigue, sleep, RPE, notes);
• Injury information, weight, and recovery metrics.

This data may be imported from Intervals.icu using your API connection.

C. AI conversation data

• Messages you send to the AI coach;
• Training-related notes and goals;
• AI-generated responses.

D. Payment information

When you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects and processes your payment details (such as card information and billing address) directly. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as your name, the last four digits of your card, subscription status, and transaction records, to manage your subscription and comply with tax and accounting obligations.

E. Technical information

• IP address, browser type, and device information;
• Usage logs.

This information is used for security, service reliability, and improvement. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies: we use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session, and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (via Vercel) to measure aggregate usage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide personalized training plans and analyze workouts and performance;
• Generate AI-based coaching feedback;
• Sync workouts with connected platforms such as Intervals.icu;
• Process payments, manage subscriptions, and meet tax and accounting obligations;
• Maintain security, prevent fraud and misuse, and improve the Service;
• Communicate with you about your account, subscription, and service changes.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your data for advertising.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EU/UK Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:

• Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you have subscribed to;
• Consent — for processing health-related and other special-category data, which you provide when you choose to enter it; you may withdraw consent at any time;
• Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, and improve the Service, where not overridden by your rights;
• Legal obligation — to comply with tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.

5. Use of Artificial Intelligence Providers

Coach Leon uses third-party AI providers (which may include Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google) to generate coaching insights and responses. When you use the Service:

• Your training data, account data, and conversation content may be processed by these providers to generate responses;
• These providers act as service providers / processors and process data solely to deliver AI functionality;
• We use commercially reasonable efforts to configure these services so they do not use your data to train their models for their own purposes or for advertising, to the extent such controls are offered.

6. Data Storage and Infrastructure

Your data is stored and processed using third-party infrastructure providers, which may include:

• Supabase (database and authentication);
• Vercel (hosting infrastructure);
• AI service providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google);
• Stripe (payment processing);
• Intervals.icu (workout synchronization).

These providers may process data in Canada, the United States, the European Union, or other jurisdictions where they operate.

7. International Data Transfers

Coach Leon is operated from Canada but is available worldwide. Your information may be transferred to and processed in Canada, the United States, or other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country.

Where we transfer personal data of EU/UK users outside the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), or transfers to countries recognized as providing an adequate level of protection (Canada benefits from a partial adequacy decision for data subject to PIPEDA).

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal and training data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account:

• Your personal and training data will be deleted within a reasonable timeframe;
• Limited records (such as transaction and tax records) may be retained as required by law;
• Limited technical logs may be kept temporarily for security and fraud prevention.

9. Data Sharing

We share your data only as necessary to operate the Service:

• With infrastructure and hosting providers;
• With AI providers to generate coaching responses;
• With Stripe to process payments;
• With Intervals.icu or other platforms you choose to connect;
• Where required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public;
• In connection with a business transfer (such as a sale of the business), subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or provide it for marketing purposes.

10. Your Privacy Rights

All users. You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to receive a copy of it, by contacting guillaume@forstmann.co.

Canada (PIPEDA). You have the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limits. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you have concerns.

EU / UK (GDPR / UK GDPR). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

United States (e.g. California). Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Health and Coaching Disclaimer

Coach Leon processes performance and injury-related information to provide training insights. Coach Leon is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice. You are responsible for consulting qualified healthcare professionals regarding injuries, medical conditions, or health decisions.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted within the application or on our website, with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
